New 'One Stop Hip Clinic' launches at Cobalt

Cobalt are delighted to annouce the addition of a One Stop Hip Clinic to their range of convenient and efficient orthopaedic one stop services.

Mr. Jon Mutimer, Consultant Orthopaedic and Hip Surgeon, will be offering a consultation, any required imaging, a diagnosis and a treatment plan all in the same visit and within a few hours for insured and self pay patients.

This will enhance the range of services they already offer including knee, spine, shoulder, foot and ankle one stop clinics.

Jon Mutimer MBChB, MRCS (Eng), FRCS (Tr &Orth) graduated from Bristol University and continued his basic surgical training in Bath. He also spent six months in Oxford, teaching anatomy to medical students. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and pursued higher surgical training in the Severn Deanery based in Bristol. He has spent a year in Wellington, New Zealand undertaking a hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship working with Professor Geoff Horne and Peter Devane. As well as performing complex hip and knee replacements (primary and revision) he had the opportunity to research methods to improve the longevity of hip replacements by monitoring wear after implantation.
