X-Ray
Our X-Ray
consists of an Optimus Diagnost TH System. We use our X-Ray
equipment to clear patients that may be contra-indicated for MRI
during the screening process. The X-Ray exam is able to demonstrate
where a foreign object or implant is anatomically in the patient's
body, and whether it has any metallic component. X-Rays may also be
requested by our referrers.
The X-Ray room uses ionising radiation when taking an image. It
is locked and only authorised operators hold keys and are trained
to use the equipment. Staff are required to use a does pen when
operating the equipment. All staff record their dose
electronically. Doses are collated and checked annually by the
RPS.
