Challenge Information
Over a distance of approx 250m, on a course that runs from below
the Hunderton Bridge as far as the rowing club, this race is all
about teamwork on the River Wye.
Each team is made up of 16 paddles plus the drummer who keeps
time, and each boat is provided with an experienced helmsperson.
Most races are between 2 teams, so get your friends, family or
colleagues together and take on this challenge for Cobalt!
There's not just racing on the day however, there will also be
stalls, food tents, ice creams, a licensed bar, funfair and
tug-of-war. The afternoon ends with the famous Wye Duck Race, when
several thousand ducks float down the river and someone will win
£1,000!
