Cobalt is taking part in the Christmas Challenge again this year, the Big Give. Big Give is a registered charity that runs match-funded campaigns for charities and good causes. This is an amazing opportunity for us to double donations for one week.
It’s simple to take part. All donations must be made to Cobalt through the “Big Give” website (www.thebiggive.org) to be eligible. The link for this will be on our web page when the challenge starts. The challenge runs from midday Tuesday 28th November to midday Tuesday 5th December, during which time donations will be DOUBLED from match funding secured from our generous pledgers.
We will use the donations received to continue our support for our teenagers and young adults with cancer nurse specialist in the local area. Through generous donations we have been able to support the same fantastic nurse for 11 years, Megan Willsher and we want to be able to continue to provide Megan’s support for young people in the years to come.
Young people facing a cancer diagnosis often have hugely different needs from adults and are at a vulnerable stage in their lives. Specialist care is required to support them through their illness as well as their educational, financial, and relationship needs. We need to raise a total of £38,000 to enable us to continue to support Megan’s post.
