Cobalt turn digital to fundraise
19th October 2020
We are launching a digital fundraising platform to help replace lost income from community fundraising as a result of the pandemic.
Supporters can challenge their wits with a monthly quiz to hold with family and friends, choose a favourite walk and step out with sponsorship or try their luck with a raffle.
Money raised through Get Up Get Going activities will help contribute towards the funding of four specialist research nursing posts supporting breast cancer and dementia research. These research nurses work alongside doctors and with patients to identify and recruit suitable and willing participants for local, national and international research trials. The posts are not funded by the NHS and we need to raise over £100,000 each year in donations to fund them.
Kirsty Bradbury, Fundraising Engagement Officer, Cobalt said “We want to tell as many people as we can about Get Up Get Going and encourage them to take a look and help us fund our research nurses for another year. If you use Facebook, Instagram or Twitter please share our Get Up Get Going posts with your friends, followers and family. There will be frequent additions to the Get Up Get Going pages so keep an eye on it as there will be new ideas and opportunities every month”.
Making a donation will help to fund our work to support local people across the three counties with cancer, dementia and other conditions.
