    Cobalt are seeking experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated radiographers to join our expanding MRI team working within the Imaging Centre and also at various mobile locations in the UK. Trainee positions considered for exceptional candidates.

    Cobalt is a progressive medical imaging charity providing ISAS accredited services from the unique Cobalt Imaging Centre in Cheltenham and through a World leading fleet of mobile MRI scanners, including Europe's first 3.0 Tesla mobile MRI service and the World's first digital broadband Philips Ingenia 1.5 Tesla and 3.0 Tesla mobile scanners.The Charity is also a leading provider of MRI education, hosting 'MRI in Practice', the major international MRI course for radiographers.

    Working hours/days will be variable based on 37hpw.

    Full time posts desired, part time posts considered.

  • PET CT Radiographer

    Due to an expansion in our services, we are seeking both an experienced Radiographer to join our enthusiastic and highly motivated PET/CT team.

    Cobalt currently provides the NHS PET/CT service to a population of over two million from the Cobalt Imaging Centre in Cheltenham, scanning approximately 3,800 patients each year. The PET/CT Department also provides a CT service to approximately 1,800 patients. The Charity offers the latest in technology with a Siemens mCT Flow edge PET/CT scanner and and has also recently introduced a Cone Beam CT service, the Carestream Onsight 3D extremity CBCT system.

    The Charity participates in research and provides PET/CT training and education on a local and national basis.

  • Merchandise Volunteer

    Merchandise Volunteer

    This exciting volunteering opportunity has come up in fundraising to research the setting up of a charity ebay shop and the running this shop. You will also help with a review of Cobalt Cards which are made in return for donations and the marketing of these cards.

    The role will be based at our offices in Cheltenham and will require some travel around Cheltenham occasionally. The role is ideally suited to someone with a retail background, who is happy to work independently, with support from the Fundraising Teams, and who has their own transport. Weekly hours are expected to be between 2 - 6hrs per week

    You will be good with people and have great communication skills.

    Computer literate and comfortable with the main Microsoft Office tools, databases and emails.

    A friendly and proactive character, you will be comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team, able to use your own initiative and be able to ask for help when needed.

  • Assistant Accountant

    Assistant Accountant – innovative medical imaging Charity – 4 to 5 days per week

    About you

    You will have completed AAT or be part qualified and looking to progress into a management role in a small finance team where you can make a difference

    Your new job will be

    • To support the Finance Director in the production of the monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts
    • To help with the further development of the accounting systems and reporting package
    • To ensure that the Sage accounting system is used in the most effective way and that the accounting records are kept up to date
    • To ensure all regulatory returns are completed in a timely manner
    • To manage the Finance Team and ensure that the Finance Office is appropriately manned at all times and provides a quality service to the Charity
    • To promote high standards and quality of work and to ensure that the financial control procedures are observed
