  • PET CT and CT Radiographer

    Due to an expansion in our services, we are seeking an experienced PET/CT or CT Radiographer to join our enthusiastic and highly motivated team.

    Cobalt currently provides the NHS PET/CT service to a population of over 1.4 million from the Cobalt Imaging Centre in Cheltenham, scanning approximately 2,500 patients each year. The PET/CT Department also provides a CT service to approximately 1,800 patients. The Charity offers the latest in technology with a Siemens mCT Flow edge PET/CT scanner and and has also recently introduced a Cone Beam CT service, the Carestream Onsight 3D extremity CBCT system.

    The Charity participates in research and provides PET/CT training and education on a local and national basis.

  • MRI Radiographer - Cheltenham based and mobile

    We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated MRI radiographers to join our expanding MRI team working within the Imaging Centre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and also at various mobile locations around the UK.

    Cobalt is a progressive medical imaging charity providing ISAS accredited services from the unique Cobalt Imaging Centre in Cheltenham and through a World leading fleet of mobile MRI scanners, including Europe's first 3.0 Tesla mobile MRI service and the World's first digital broadband Philips Ingenia 1.5 Tesla and 3.0 Tesla mobile scanners. We are also a leading provider of MRI education, hosting 'MRI in Practice', the major international MRI course for radiographers.

    We offer an attractive remuneration and staff benefits package to successful applicants with the appropriate level of skills and experience.

    Working hours/days will be variable based on 37hpw.

    The Big Sort - support our recycled cards initiative and help raise over £30,000 for us each year

    Events - marshalls, refreshment servers, ticket admissions and photography as well as help us support our charity partner activities

    Our fundraising team are seeking a multitasker to help make sure their events are ship shape. 

  • MRI Training Facilitator and Clinical Lead Radiographer

    We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated MRI radiographer to join our training facilitation team supporting the MRI post graduate training programme.
    Previous experience in MRI at a senior level with an in depth knowledge of theoretical and clinical MRI is essential.
    Experience of delivering training and education in a healthcare setting, or a post graduate qualification in training and education is desirable.
    There is also a clinical lead commitment with this post undertaking scanning sessions at the Imaging Centre using the latest technology.
    It is estimated that training facilitator and clinical lead responsibilities will be split 80/20, with the majority of the time undertaking training facilitation, supervising the MRI trainees during clinical scanning sessions on a one to one basis, trainee performance review and assessments. The remaining time will be committed to supporting the MRI radiographer team.
