Cobalt’s Christmas Challenge raises over £53,000!
6th December 2016
Donations given to medical charity Cobalt through a match giving campaign have been doubled making a fantastic £53,671.25 total.
Cobalt supporters gave to the Charity through a number of ways including donating online via #TheBigGive, one of the largest online giving campaigns in the UK and visiting the charity. The campaign raised £7 million for over 300 charities.
The Big Give is a non-profit, charitable website which enables donors to support charity projects. Its main activity is online match funding and any donations to the Charity were doubled over the course of the campaign. The Charity also received a substantial donation of £25,000 from The Clive and Sylvia Richards Charitable Trust to match any donations given.
Julia Jenkins, Head of Cobalt Fundraising said “We had an incredible response to the campaign. We are currently raising £2 million to create a new vital MRI research service. These donations have provided an incredible boost to those funds. Thanks to our supporters we have achieved donations totaling over £53,000. This will be used to enable wide ranging research including cardiac, liver, oncology and neurosurgery”.
