Coffees that count

Each year we aim to raise £5,000 through our Coffees that Count campaign to support cancer patients with access to the best diagnostic equipment in their time of need. Early diagnosis can help to save lives and our specialist equipment support doctors with treatment planning and monitoring how patients are responding to treatment.

Can you help us? Can you and your friends hold a coffee morning in aid of Cobalt this Spring?

Here are some ideas to help you raise money. Invite 20 people, ask them to pay £2 to come along and pay £5 for a drink and cake, hold a small raffle charging £1 per ticket (prizes can be home baking, home-grown plants, box of chocolates) and have a cake or produce stall selling goodies to take home. We are happy to supply bunting, Cobalt greetings cards for sale and information about the charity for your event. If 20 coffee mornings each raise £250 we will raise £5000 to support more cancer patients.

If you would like to chat about this or another idea please call Kirsty on 10242 535922 or email fundraising@cobalthealth.co.uk.

Cobalt-Coffee

Thank you Stroud Stragglers

Thank you to Stroud Stragglers, a local fundraising group that supported Cobalt by holding coffee mornings raising almost £2,700.

They also held a craft sale, a raffle, and sold refreshments, homemade blankets, calendars and up-cycled cards (made by Cobalt supporters).

Group member Kathryn had two cancer diagnosis and multiple scans at Cobalt. She said she would normally be anxious but the team at Cobalt made her at ease for the procedures.

Equipment appeal

We strive to ensure that patients have access to the latest diagnostic equipment in their time of need.

The Charity has recently invested £2.6m in a new digital PET/CT scanner. With our supporters’ help, we can continue investing in the latest diagnostic equipment.

Our equipment appeal will help us to constantly invest in our technology to make sure we are able to provide the very best images, which is a vital part of modern cancer treatment.
