Fine art auctioneers launch charity partnership
5th March 2019
Fine art auctioneers and valuers, Chorley’s, have teamed up with Cobalt, to support us throughout 2019. We were invited to visit the auction house to learn more about the business as well as get a sneak preview of the forthcoming sale of items from significant country estates.
Catrin Hampton, Director, Chorley’s said “We are looking forward to supporting Cobalt this year and there will be an opportunity to find out more about the charity at our March auction. We are also very excited to announce that 15% of the proceeds of sales at the Fosseway Artists 100th Exhibition, hosted by Chorley’s from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 June, will be donated to Cobalt. The team are very excited to be working together with Cobalt and look forward to supporting their work this year”.
Emma Mortiboy, Fundraising, Cobalt said ”It was fantastic to visit the saleroom, meet the team and view all of the wonderful antiques and art at the auction house. We are very much looking forward to working in partnership and to all of the events and activities the team have planned.”
Formerly part of Bruton Knowles art and antiques division, Chorley’s boasts two salerooms and offices in the beautiful grounds of Prinknash Abbey, Gloucestershire. They hold six auctions throughout the year and money raised this year by their fundraising events will go towards Cobalt’s work in the fields of dementia and cancer.
