Local charities Great Easter Egg Trail was an egg-cellent success
16th April 2018
Cobalt and cancer charity Maggie’s teamed up to hold The Great Easter Egg Trail on Saturday 31 March in Sandford Park, Cheltenham. The trail was a great way for families to explore the park. Children followed clues around the park and selfies taken on the day can be seen on the Facebook pages of the two charities. The event coincided with the grand opening of the Cheltenham Lido.
Kirsty Bradbury, Community Engagement Officer, Cobalt said ‘We had a wonderful turn out for the event, despite the predicted unpleasant weather. It was a fun event for all ages. The Easter bunny was very kind to us and we had some lovely volunteers on the day who helped make it all happen. You can see some pictures of the day which we have shared on our Facebook pages. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to work with cancer charity Maggie’s”.
Maggie’s have 20 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad, one of which is based in College Road, Cheltenham. The centres provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
