Local medical charity launch online Christmas auction

Local medical charity Cobalt is holding an exciting online Christmas auction starting from Friday 18 November to Sunday 4 December to raise funds for a Teenage and Young Adults (16-25 year old) Specialist Cancer Nurse Megan.

Local businesses and organisations have generously donated over 40 fantastic lots to bid on to raise money for this worthy cause. There really is something for everyone and for all budgets. ‘The Margarita Pendant’ is a custom-made pearl and diamond necklace kindly donated by Bicks of Montpellier Jewellers.Christmas Auction

Sonja Bradley,Owner, Bicks of Montpellier Jewellers said: “We are supporting Cobalt as we feel the work they do is amazing and has many layers just like the pearl. The facilities have helped many lives. “

Other lots include a padel game at East Glos tennis club, an overnight dinner, bed and breakfast stay at the Queens Hotel, Dyson Corrale hair Straighteners, signed Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen Book, artwork, beauty and pamper gifts, vouchers for meals out, gin, wine and brewery experiences along with sporting activities.

Sarah Thompson, Fundraising Officer, Cobalt said:” This auction wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful support of local businesses and organisations. We have been overwhelmed with their generosity. We are raising funds to provide Gloucestershire with the services of a Teenage and Young Adults (16-25-year-old) Specialist Cancer Nurse”.

People can join in the fun from 10am Friday 18th November to 6pm Sunday 4th December. Ideal for Christmas gifts and treats. It is very easy to bid.

Cobalt is a medical charity which invests in the latest diagnostic imaging equipment and supports and participates in local and national research focussed primarily on cancer and dementia. The charity works in partnership with the NHS to provide patients with specialist scans, using innovative technology and by funding specialist nursing roles. Every donation makes a difference.
