Fundraising FAQ's
We’re thrilled that you want to fundraise for us. Your amazing efforts will help us to provide vital diagnostic equipment and support our research and education programmes. There are so many ways you can get involved, check out our fundraising page for inspiration. Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, which means your donations will be worth 25% more to us at no extra cost to you. If you agree to Gift Aid your donations, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate to Cobalt.
This additional income really does make a big difference, so if you are an eligible UK taxpayer, please don’t forget to us to let us know you would like to Gift Aid your donations.
Yes please, this is a really important way of helping Cobalt and all that loose change raises vital funds for Cobalt.

We do collect new and unused gifts that would be suitable for a tombola or raffle prize. We also collect used stamps and used greetings cards throughout the year.
We no longer collect books, jigsaw puzzles, blankets/baby or doll knits or bric-a-brac. We do not collect old clothes and currently do not undertake house clearance.
If you are interested in knitting, please email fundraising@cobalthealth.co.uk for a list of knitting patterns of goods that we are able to sell at our craft fairs. We no longer sell baby knits, blankets or dolls clothes.
If you have something of value that you would like to donate to the charity that can be sold on ebay or auctioned please do phone a member of the fundraising team to discuss 01242 535922.
MRI uses a powerful magnet providing high quality images. Surfaces, cartilage, ligaments and muscles can be seen in greater detail.
Thank you, this a very special way of remembering a loved one and helping Cobalt. Please get in touch and let us know the details of your funeral directors and we can send special Cobalt donation envelopes, which include a Gift Aid form. We can also arrange for the funeral directors to forward the collection directly through to Cobalt.

Cards and gifts FAQ's
Yes, we collect good quality birthday cards throughout the year for our card up-cycling scheme. The cards are cut to size and given new life. Please leave cards whole in the ‘drop bin’ at Linton House, Thirlestaine Road. Due to the volume of Cards we collect Christmas Cards in January only through the Big Sort.
Yes we are happy to send you a small stand of cards and collecting tin and will happily refresh stock when needed.

There are lots of ways to get involved – please contact Kirsty Bradbury, Community Engagement Officer who will be happy to help.
Support our fab range of events through the year from Open Gardens to Challenge Events – you could be a marshall, baker, first aider, parking supervisor or help organise a stall!
Put your skills to good use or learn new ones whilst volunteering at our Fundraising Office Reception.
Help with the sale of Raffle tickets, Cobalt Cards, coordinate or assist with the collection of donation tins, collecting donations.
Help with valuable skills including Photography, Proof Reading or join our Archivist Team – looking at our remarkable history.
