  • Where can I send a cheque?

Please send your cheque made payable to 'Cobalt' to Cobalt, Fundraising, Linton House, Thirlestaine Road, Cheltenham, Glos, GL53 7AS.

  • Can you claim Gift Aid on my donations?

Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on donations made online or offline, no matter how large or small. You can find out more about the Gift Aid scheme

  • Can I help Cobalt by hosting a collecting tin at my premises?

Yes please, this is a really important way of helping Cobalt and all that loose change raises vital funds for Cobalt.

  • Do you still collect stamps, coins, bras and other goods?

We do collect stamps and coins but we no longer collect bras. Our volunteers run regular coffee mornings and tombolas - donations of good quality books and puzzles and ‘new but unneeded gifts’ are always welcome for the raffle. We do not collect old clothes and currently do not undertake house clearance. If you have something of value that you would like to donate to the charity please do let us know.

  • We would like guests at the funeral to give a donation in lieu of flowers what shall we do?

Thank you, this a very special way of remembering a loved one and helping Cobalt. Please let us know the details of your funeral directors and we can send Cobalt In Memory collection envelopes.

Cards & gifts

  • I have a very large number of used birthday and Christmas cards. Would you be able to make use of them?

Please leave cards whole in the ‘drop bin’ at Linton House, Thirlestaine Road. Due to the volume of Cards we collect Christmas Cards in January only through the Big Sort.

  • How can I be sure I can give in confidence?

There has been a lot in the news recently about national charities and poor practice. At Cobalt we are and have always been committed to the highest standards. We do not stop people in the street and we do not make cold telephone calls. We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

    • We are honest, open and clear about who we are, what we do and how your gift is used.
    • We respect your decisions about whether, how and when you would like to make a gift and indeed if you wish to cease giving.
    • We welcome your feedback and if you would like to suggest improvements please contact us.

As a small charity our valued supporters are vital to our ongoing success.
