Saturday 14 September Cheltenham Racecourse
This summer, we have some fantastic supporters taking part in the Inflatable 5K Challenge for Cobalt. Not only will they be having fun at the biggest Inflatable 5k obstacle event ever created; they will also be showing support for our Teenage and Young Adult cancer Nurse (TYA Nurse), Megan, who cares for all 16 - 25 year olds with cancer in the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
With 15 gigantic obstacles, this promises to be the biggest Inflatable 5k obstacle event ever created. Bring your friends and family, have a fun day out and help cheer on the teams and individuals raising money for us towards our event target of £2,000.
The impact of a cancer diagnosis on children and families can be immense and we are incredibly proud of our supporters and fundraising, which enables us to fund a specialist Teenage and Young Adult with Cancer Nurse. We hope that through your fundraising, you too feel a sense of pride about what you have achieved for young people with cancer - thank you.
Finish line bling

As part of ‘Team Cobalt’, supporters taking part in the inflatable 5K will contribute towards funding my post as Cobalt’s Teenage and Young Adult with Cancer Nurse. I’m a specialist nurse for teenagers and young adults, aged 16-25 years with cancer. It’s only over recent years, that healthcare professionals have recognised that this patient population are neglected and vulnerable and if they do get cancer that they have different needs to adults and children.Megan Willsher, Teenage and Young Adult with Cancer Nurse
