Remember a charity in your will

11 September marks the start of the annual Remember a Charity in your Will awareness week. We are proud to continue to be part of Remember a Charity; a consortium of 200 charities who rely on gifts in wills to continue their vital work.

The goal of the week is to encourage more people to leave a gift in their will to charity.

Remember a charity in your will

The central thought-provoking theme for the week asks the question, ‘Will You?’
As such, we are asking Cobalt supporters to consider leaving a gift in a will by asking the question ‘Will you help improve patient outcomes and quality of life?’

The national awareness week also aims to challenge the the belief that people can’t leave a gift to charity in their will if they also wish to remember their family and friends. In reality, the UK’s will-writing environment gives individuals the flexibility to donate any sum, large or small, while ensuring their loved ones are also taken care of.

Legacy donations now account for over half of Cobalt’s fundraising income. Gifts in wills are vital to ensure that we can be ready to invest in the latest technology to ensure that future patients can continue to have access to the best imaging equipment for their diagnosis. We are so grateful to all donors and their families for these special gifts.

Supporters who choose to leave a gift in their will to Cobalt are passing on the special gift of helping to improve the outcomes and quality of life for all our future patients.
