8th September 2020
Supporter Susan Gore, her husband and daughter Ali have raised an amazing £2,100 for us through an assortment of fantastic fundraising activities.
Sue’s husband who was in the tailoring profession turned his hand to transforming duvets and other donated fabric to turn into face masks which daughter Ali Gore sold for over £800 through various online sites and Facebook. Green fingered Mr Gore also sold plants from his garden generating over £50. The remaining funds came from a raffle of items the couple normally include in an annual garage sale.
Julia Jenkins, Head of Fundraising, Cobalt said “We are delighted to have received such a generous donation and very grateful for all the hard work and effort the Gore family have put in. In 2017 Ali Gore ran not one but two marathons for Cobalt so fundraising is certainly a family talent”.
