Highnam Court Open Garden
Explore stunning gardens, shop plant stalls, and enjoy cream teas — all in support of Cobalt at Highnam Court this June!
Step into the enchanting grounds of Highnam Court, one of Gloucestershire’s hidden gems, for a relaxing summer’s day surrounded by nature, flowers, and lakeside views — all in support of Cobalt.
Originally built in 1658, Highnam Court is a grand country house steeped in history. In the 19th century, it became home to Thomas Gambier Parry, a notable Victorian artist and philanthropist. Gambier Parry created the original gardens, transforming the grounds into an artistic and horticultural masterpiece. In recent years, the gardens have been lovingly restored and enhanced under the care of current owner Roger Head, bringing new life to this historic estate.
Visitors can explore a variety of beautifully designed gardens including the rose garden, wisteria walk, wildflower meadow, and tranquil lakeside paths. Discover hidden corners, elegant planting schemes, and peaceful water features as you stroll through this unique private estate.
Enjoy browsing plant stalls from Spinneywell Nursery, Malcolm Allison Plants, and Hoo House Nursery — perfect for finding something special for your own garden.
The Cobalt Café in the Orangery will be serving light lunches, cream teas, and homemade cakes throughout the day.
