Recycle your used Christmas cards with Cobalt and help raise vital funds for our charity. Here’s everything you need to know:
Collection dates
We will be collecting used Christmas cards from Friday 3rd January until Wednesday 15th January.
Types of cards
We accept all Christmas cards and greetings cards but please put Christmas cards and greetings cards in separate carrier bags.
Drop-off instructions
- Place your used cards in a sealed carrier bag.
- Ensure the cards are whole—please do not cut them.
- Remove any stamps or other donations (cash or cheques) and take them to Linton House instead.

Look for the clearly signposted wheelie bins and drop-off points at the location.
For large collections
If you’ve gathered a large number of cards as part of a group, school, or organisation, please:
- Deliver them to us before Wednesday, 15th January.
- Contact the fundraising team in advance at 01242 535922 to let us know.
What happens to your cards?
The donated cards will be sorted and upcycled by our incredible volunteers into beautiful new greetings cards. This activity raises over £30,000 each year to support Cobalt’s essential work.
