Write your Will during Cobalt’s Make a Will Month

During April, five solicitors across Gloucestershire are donating their time to write Wills in return for a donation to Cobalt Medical Charity, as part of the charity’s Make a Will Month.

For the last sixty years Cobalt has helped to deliver improvements in clinical diagnosis and treatments which help people affected by cancer, dementia, and other conditions. In addition, we invest in projects that improve the patient experience, including specialist nursing posts for breast cancer research or support for young adults/teenagers with cancer.

Many adults do not have a Will, which could lead to the state deciding what happens to their assets and who will care for any children they have when they die. The charity is encouraging people to make sure that they have an up-to-date Will to give them peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones will be provided for as they wish after their death.

Cobalt is working with five solicitors who have offices across Gloucestershire -Willans LLP (Cheltenham), Davis Gregory Solicitors (Cheltenham), Langley Wellingtons LLP (Gloucester), Dee & Griffin Solicitors (Gloucester) and Sewell Mullings Logie LLP (Cirencester).

Supporters can have their Will written or updated in return for a minimum donation to Cobalt of only £150 for a basic single Will or £200 for a pair of basic mirror Wills, which is a fraction of what you would typically pay for this service.

Appointments are available throughout April and the charity is encouraging people to book now to avoid disappointment.

Helen Tomes, Legacy and Supporter Officer for Cobalt, said, “Thank you to all the solicitors who are taking part in Make a Will Month which allows people to have their Wills written or updated in return for a donation to Cobalt – which is far less than what people might usually pay for such a service.

“It is easy to take advantage of this generous offer – simply choose a participating solicitor from the list on our website and contact them now to book an appointment in April.”

“Getting your affairs in order will give you peace of mind, plus your donation will help Cobalt continue to provide support to patients.”
