Our mission is to pioneer innovation in medical imaging diagnosis by investing in equipment, integrated research and education, to improve outcomes for patients now and in the future.
Cobalt supports the needs of patients locally and nationally through our specialist Imaging Centres in Cheltenham and Birmingham and through a fleet of mobile MRI and CT scanners.
We now primarily focus on medical diagnostic imaging, believing that all patients should have access to the very best equipment, helping doctors to make a clear diagnosis and an appropriate personalised treatment plan.
Our unique scanning centre in Cheltenham stays at the forefront of diagnostic imaging technology. We see over 100,000 patients a year both at the Imaging Centre in Cheltenham, at our Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) Imaging Centre in Birmingham and with our mobile MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and CT (Computerised Tomography) scanners that travel nationally including the three counties (Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire).
Cobalt's Imaging Centre at the Institute of Translational Medicine provides a vital research service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
