Capture a Moment Photography Competition
We’re thrilled to announce the return of Cobalt’s Capture a Moment Photography Competition for 2026 running from April 30th – 31st July 2026.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a smartphone snapper, this is your chance to get out and about and showcase your talent, support a great cause, and win incredible prizes!
Entries cost just £2 per photograph and you can enter as many times as you like. Under 16 years enter for free.
There are no subjects or categories for this competition if you take a picture you think is great… we want to see it!
Winning entries
Twelve winning images will be published in the Cobalt 2027 calendar, and framed prints will be awarded to each winner. See the 2024 and 2025 winners at the bottom of this page.
Competition proceeds
All proceeds from the competition and the calendar support a specialist cancer nurse for teenagers and young adults in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Each of the 12 winners will get a framed print of their image (courtesy of WallSpace and DS Colour Labs) and a 2027 calendar.
1st place
- A £300 Wex Photo Video voucher plus a framed print of their winning image
2nd place
- A one year Digital Camera Magazine subscription (worth over £70) plus a framed print of their winning image
U16s winner
- £50 cash prize plus a framed print of their winning image
